Part 3: Shocking true nail salon stories that’ll make you blush, cringe & laugh!

This is the 3rd month in our series of real-life experiences gathered from working nail techs across the country when I posted this question on my Facebook page: “What was the most shocking thing a client ever said to you?”

Just when I thought I heard or saw it all….I was WRONG! A few responses had me curious to know “the rest of the story” of how it all turned out, so I DM’d the nail techs to elaborate further. No names are given to protect the innocent & the guilty.

Aside from priests, therapists, medical professionals & insane asylums, we nail techs encounter the most unexpected conversations & bizarre human behaviors. Here are another 10 true & shocking stories that nail techs have encountered while at work.

“They caught their mom & sister in bed with their husband. I have so many stories.” — S.P.

The rest of the story: She moved from California to Oklahoma. She said she just couldn’t look at any of them. She was devastated that her mom did this & she said she didn’t know if she could ever speak to them again. At that point she had not let them know where she was.

L.D. — “Had a 60 something newlywed client came in totally distraught. She was in tears & completely devastated. I thought someone died. She proceeded to tell me that just before she left the house she was opening her curtains & witnessed her new husband in their hot tub. He was master-bating. When he noticed she was watching him he motioned for her to join him. She left to come to her appointment. She told me she felt betrayed & cheated on. First of all I had met him & now I had an image burned into my mind I couldn’t get out & second, WTH cheated on?! I didn’t know what to say. I asked her if she had a son & that men were always like little boys, they can’t keep their hands off it.”

“I had a long time client; married, 3 teenage kids, professional… not someone I’d see doing this. So she moved away & one day my husband mentions my client being in the news. Turns out she was having an affair & I guess she was trying to end it. The man came over at 6am, shot her dead, then went home & shot himself! No one had any idea until after the fact about the affair! Really crazy!
…on a different note, my husband is a mortician & one of my clients died in a very bad snowstorm trying to get to work. He made the comment to me later that despite the horrific passing, that her nails from me were all intact! I still think of her.” — A.H.

C.M. — “Her daughter’s boyfriend’s penis was too large for her daughter so the mom (this client telling the story) told him to only put it in half way. Then later she discussed every detail of the female vagina…every detail…I’m sure I sat there with a red face & this lady was in her 70’s.”

“I had a client tell me & my employee about how she waxes her own lady bits while we did a pedi on her & her friend. She said she was having trouble so she asked her husband to help this time & he got in the mood & insisted they mess around some. Her friend then asks if they used the pineapple lube or the strawberry. The story ended with her telling us she’s got a chemical burn from lube on a fresh wax.” — S.O.

J.C. — “I had a client masturbating in her car before her appointment. I saw her in the parking lot before her appointment as I came back from lunch & thought I’d tell her to come in… walked up to her window & saw everything! She had her eyes closed, so I backed away slowly. When she came in she looked sleepy & happy, rosy cheeks & puffy hair in the back. And wet fingers.” 🤢

(side note: another VERY good reason to always have your clients AND the nail tech wash their hands before beginning a nail service because you just don’t know what they’ve been touching)

“This just happened to me today… my client told me that her daughters fiancé raped her & now her daughter has nothing to do with her cause she thinks she lied about it.” — T.M.

K.C. — “I finally had the most insane story. I can’t even honestly tell it on here. But she’s getting married Sunday & she’s bringing a ball gag & restraints & wearing horns. Sodomy is involved & I don’t think the poor man has a clue of her plans.” 😱

“My nephew murdered his wife.” — A.S. 😳 (side note: unfortunately the nail tech did not know the rest of this story)

D.F. — “Had one tell about going to adult club with hubby where you could see into the rooms & what people in there were doing. And parties they went to that everyone put keys in a bowl & went with whoever pulled your keys out. Those were just the tip of their iceberg.”

👉🏽 (side-note: yeah, I had a client like that, too & her church-going mother who was also my client would’ve DIED 1,000 deaths if she knew about her daughter’s kinky lifestyle)
